News New Comedy, Pluck the Day, Will Play Limited Run at American Theatre of Actors Pluck the Day, an official selection of the Araca Group's Inaugural Araca Project, will play a limited engagement at the American Theatre of Actors' Chernuchin Theatre Sept. 8-18.

Michael O’Donnell will direct Steven Walters' new comedy, and the cast will feature Chris Dall'au, Jake Keefe, Lucy Sheftall and Danny Skinner. The play, according to press notes, "is set on a sun-drenched, emotionally challenged parcel of the West Texas landscape. Here, three friends are held captive by apathy, fear and addiction awaiting a savior. Enter April. The show is kinda like therapy, only with guns, booze, and just the right amount of peyote."

The Araca Project is a new program created by The Araca Group to foster emerging theatre artists. The Araca Project was created "to give artists a pride of ownership in their careers by providing a forum which both manifests their artistic visions as well as galvanizes classroom theory with real-world action."

Tickets can be purchased at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/cal/32725 or by visiting http://pluckthedaynyc.com. American Theatre of Actors is located at 314 West 54th Street, second floor.
