Cyndi Lauper, who won a Tony Award for her score to the hit Broadway musical Kinky Boots, releases her latest solo recording May 6.

The country disc, which is entitled Detour, features duets with Jewel, Willie Nelson and Vince Gill, among others. The recording is produced by the founder of Sire Records, Seymour Stein.

One of the tracks on the new recording is "Hard Candy Christmas" from the Broadway musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
