News New Dirty Rotten Tour Will Launch in Dayton Sept. 25; Casting Announced The new non-Equity touring company of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will debut Sept. 25 at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton, OH.

Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, the musical by composer-lyricist David Yazbek and librettist Jeffrey Lane, has direction by Philip Wm. McKinley (The Boy From Oz) and choreography by Vince Pesce.

The earlier Equity tour criss-crossed the nation and closed Aug. 19 in Milwaukee. It was directed by Jack O'Brien with choreography by Jerry Mitchell. The musical was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

This time out, the title characters who bet they can swindle an heiress out of her money (on the romantic French Riviera) will be Jamie Jackson as the suave con man Lawrence Jameson and Doug Thompson as vulgar swindler Freddy Benson.

Jenny Gulley will play "American soap queen" Christine Colgate; Suzanne Sole will play Muriel Eubanks; Jeff Essex will be Andre; and Jen Jenkins is Jolene. The ensemble includes Sarah Bumgarner, Erin Chupinsky, Melissa Carlile, Kelly-Lynn Condon, Adam Dulin, Joris DeBuel, Matthew DeGuzman, Betsy Farber, Jessica Moore, Travis Patton, Sean Quinn, Peter Romaniello, Michael Scibilia and Molly Marie Walsh.

After leaving Dayton, the tour will travel to 25 cities across the United States including Denver, Spokane, Norfolk, Grand Rapids, Birmingham, Kalamazoo, Waterbury, Indianapolis, Nashville, Ft.
