A new performing, visual and digital arts centre, The Living Arts Centre will open in Mississauga, ON., just west of Toronto, on Oct. 7.
The centre will include three theatres of varying size, and already has three permanent tenants; The Mississauga Symphony Orchestra, Opera Mississauga, and the Mississauga Choral Society.
Also featured at the centre will be presentations by numerous 'touring' groups. The first, Oct 7-8 will be 'Stars of the Kirov', featuring 16 principal ballerinas and dancers from the Kirov Ballet.
Following will be performances from the likes of the, Mamata Shankar Dance Company from India, the Mississauga Symphonic Association, the Desrosiers Dance Company, Raffi, Umabatha from South Africa, Carousel by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Nunsense III with Vicky Lawrence -- and that is just until Nov 4.
