News New Musical Love in the Nick of Tyme Opens Beacon Run Jan. 16 Love in the Nick of Tyme, a new musical written and directed by David E. Talbert, begins a 17-city tour Jan. 16 at the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan.

Featuring songs by Vivian Green and musical scoring by Robert Johnson, Jr., the cast boasts film star Morris Chestnut; R&B artists Terry Dexter, Andre Pitre and Avant; and actors Ellia English, Trenyce, Blu Mitchell, Christi Dickerson, Jerrell Roberts and Lyn Talbert. The limited engagement at the famed theatre will end Jan. 21. The musical, according to press notes, "centers on smart and vivacious salon owner, Tyme Prentice (Dexter). A successful businesswoman, Tyme is anything but successful in her romantic life. She receives a second chance at love when Harvey (Pitre), an old admirer, re-enters her life. His appearance forces her to reconsider her feelings for Marcelles (Chestnut), the charming but unfaithful father of her seventeen-year-old son to ultimately determine her own self worth and what true happiness can mean."
