News New Musical Plumber Plunges in Sydney,Feb. 26 The former king of Australian daytime television, Mike Walsh, has renewed his role as a theatrical producer, with a new Australian stage musical There's A Plumber In My Opera, which opened at Sydney's Footbridge Theatre on February 26.

The former king of Australian daytime television, Mike Walsh, has renewed his role as a theatrical producer, with a new Australian stage musical There's A Plumber In My Opera, which opened at Sydney's Footbridge Theatre on February 26.Walsh, who has had past successes with the Australian productions of Anything Goes and Nunsense during the 1980's, has stepped back into the stage arena on the basis of Plumber's success during tryout presentations around the country.

Positive audience and media response to these tryouts highlighted it's inventive and comic send-up of opera, although initial reviews after the opening have been mixed. Starring Glynn Nicholas, a popular stage and television performer, the musical's book, lyrics and music are by Ross Noble. Bookings are available on (61-2)9266 4800.
