News New Musical Slut Begins Off-Broadway Run Sept. 13 Stephen Sislen and Ben H. Winters' new musical Slut — featuring direction by Gordon Greenberg — begins performances Sept. 13 at the American Theatre of Actors.

With an official opening set for Oct. 1, the cast includes Jenn Colella, Mary Faber, Harriett D. Foy, Andy Karl, David Josefsberg, Jim Stanek, Amanda Watkins and Kevin Pariseau. The limited engagement will play through Nov. 13.

Slut, according to production notes, concerns the story of "Adam, a single dude on a life-long quest for one-night stands; his best friend, the brilliant Doctor Dan; and the sexy rocker Delia who comes between them. Set in the East Village and around the world, this highly improbable, irreverent adventure comes with singing, dancing, partying, and raspberry margaritas."

Slut played the New York International Fringe Festival in summer 2003. It was the first show in the festival ever to sell out its entire run before the festival opened.

The creative team for the production includes Beowulf Boritt (scenic design) and Annie Kennedy (costume design). The musical is being presented by James Hammerstein Productions.

Slut plays Tuesday-Friday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 4 and 8 PM and Sundays at 3 and 7 PM. Tickets, priced at $55, are available by calling (212) 239-6200. The American Theatre of Actors is located in Manhattan at 314 West 54th Street.
