The production of Patrick Shaw's musical will be directed by Brian Hashimoto and will feature the talents of Pedar Bate, Becca Landis, Meredith Lark, Christopher Norwood, Diana Oh, Elizabeth Seldin, Charity Schubert, Andrew Squire and Lauren Weinberg.
"A stranger from Unville Brazil, the sustainable city of the future, sings the tale of how his nation was founded," according to press notes. "It begins in an America where a greedy mega-corporation bought the land to create the world’s largest landfill. Three lost souls; Jack, Jill and Churchill sift through piles of trash for recyclables, poetry, and true love. Aided by Mil the Seagull and her Chicklettes, these three carry the seed of a dream on a quest to heal the world."
The creative team will include music director Alexandra Bassett, lighting designer Lois Catanzaro, costume designer Abbie Chase, set designer Jacquelyn D. Marolt and assistant director Megan Weaver.
Show times will be Wednesday-Saturday at 8 PM with an additional performance June 6 at 8 PM.
The Drilling Company Theatre is located at 236 West 78th Street, between Amsterdam Avenue and Broadway. Tickets ($18) may be purchased online at www.fullstopcollective.org or by calling (212) 868-4444. *
