Man of La Mancha, Spain's most successful musical in recent times, earning more than 500 million Spanish pesetas in just four months, has just released its cast recording. This double CD has been recorded in Madrid's Lope de Vega Theater and is released by Emi Hispavox. In addition to songs such as The Impossible Dream and Man of La Mancha, it includes a much spoken dialogue from the show.

This recording was presented Feb. 27 by the main characters, Paloma San Basilio, Jose Sacristan and the productor Luis Ramirez who said he was getting various musicals ready for next season.

According to Ramirez, due to Man of La Mancha's great success, it would be ranked among Broadway's top ten ticket-selling shows.

This recording is currently available only in Spain, but is scheduled to be distributed worldwide, to coincide with an international tour scheduled to stop in many Latin American countries starting in June, 1988. Producers are hoping to conclude the tour in New York in late 1998.
