Entitled "Consider It Swung," the new jazz recording is available on the LML Music label.
In addition to covers of tunes by Joni Mitchell and Blood, Sweat and Tears, the new CD also features "Thailand Sea," written by Wopat; and "50 Checks," a song cut from Catch Me If You Can.
Wopat is accompanied by Tedd Firth on piano, Peter Grant on drums, David Finck on bass and Bob Malach on saxophone.

Wopat will celebrate the new recording with appearances Aug. 9 at Barnes & Noble at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue; Oct. 29 at the Balboa Theater in San Diego, CA; and Oct. 30 at Valley Performing Arts Center in Northridge, CA.
Tom Wopat received Tony nominations for his performances in A Catered Affair and in the Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun (opposite Bernadette Peters). He has also appeared on Broadway in Sondheim on Sondheim, I Love My Wife, City of Angels, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, 42nd Street and Glengarry Glen Ross. Perhaps best known for his seven-season run on "The Dukes of Hazzard," Wopat has released several albums with CBS and Capitol Records. His latest CDs are "Dissertation on the State of Bliss" and "Consider It Swung."
