The New York International Fringe Festival is looking for a few good volunteers to sell tickets, answer phones and do general office work for the third annual Lower East Side event, which runs until Aug. 29. People are particularly needed for the Fest's final weekend. In exchange for their labors, volunteers will gain access to Fringe's 140 plus shows, as well as the event's closing night party. According to Fringe officials, the 1999 extravaganza has been a big hit, with capacity audiences filling many shows.
