News New York Premiere of Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig's Lidless Begins Sept. 20 Lidless, the Yale Drama Series Award-winning drama by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig about a Guantanamo Bay interrogator attempting to live a new life, begins previews Off-Broadway Sept. 20 at WalkerSpace.

Tea Alagić (The Brothers Size, Aliens With Extraordinary Skills) directs the New York premiere engagement that will officially open Sept. 28 for a run through Oct. 15. Lidless received accolades during the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The cast includes Danielle Skraastad (All My Sons, The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide...), Laith Nakli (Aftermath), Thom Rivera (Distracted), Maha Chehlaoui (Aftermath, Peer Gynt) and Emma Galvin (Our Town).

Lidless has scenic design by Scott Bradley, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, sound design by Daniel Kluger and fight direction by Thomas Schall. Page 73 Productions produces the run.

According to presenters, "Fifteen years after serving at Guantanamo Bay, Alice has medicated away her memories of Gitmo and nested with her husband and daughter in the Midwest. But when Bashir, a former Gitmo detainee, finds his way to Alice’s flower shop, his demands force Alice to reconcile their shared past, splintering the civilian life she’s so carefully arranged."
