The Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York (A.R.T./New York) administered the awards, which were given to companies with annual operating budgets between $500,000 and $5 million.
In a statement A.R.T./New York executive director Virginia P. Louloudes said, "I am astonished when I look at the incredible range of the companies who have been selected . . . as the recipients of this year's New York Times Company Foundation Fund for Mid-size Theatres grants. The richness of New York's theatre community is amazing, as is the Foundation's commitment to ensure that the community continues to thrive.
