News Newman, Pendleton & Latessa Headline Food for Thought Reading April 21 Tony Award winner Phyllis Newman will take part in Food for Thought’s “Cocktail Hour” reading series April 21.

Newman will join Austin Pendleton and Hairspray’s Dick Latessa for a reading of a play written by Newman’s late husband, Adolph Green, and his writing partner Betty Comden. Entitled Triangle, the work is an old-fashioned burlesque-type sketch in three parts. Melvin Bernhardt directs. The other half of the April 21 evening will feature a reading of Janet Neipris’ Sunday at Five on the Cote D’Azur.

The “Cocktail Hour” series will be held at the National Arts Clubs, located in New York City at 15 Gramercy Park South. Tickets for the reading is priced at $45, which also includes a wine-and-cheese reception.
