Jeremy Jordan, who starred in the Paper Mill Playhouse production of the new musical Newsies, tweeted Nov. 15 that he will likely not be part of the upcoming Broadway production of the musical because he is currently starring in the new Frank Wildhorn musical Bonnie and Clyde. Jordan posted, "So chances are I wont be a part of Newsies seeing as how B&C will be a smash hit. Sad to see my Newsies without me, but so happy for them."
Godspell's Morgan James will make her debut at the newly renovated Joe’s Pub (425 Lafayette Street) with her seven-piece rock n’ soul band Nov. 19 at 11:30 PM; the show will be streamed live via www.livestream.com/joespub. War Horse's Matt Doyle will return to Joe's Pub Nov. 28 at 9:30 PM in a concert to benefit Broadway Impact, the non-profit organization of theatre artists and fans mobilized in support of marriage equality. The acoustic set of Doyle's music will highlight songs from "Daylight" and his forthcoming follow-up EP, "Sunset."
