News Next Broadway Sensation and In Therapy With Celine Added to NYMF Events Line-Up The New York Musical Theatre Festival has announced the return of Next Broadway Sensation, as well as two new cabaret concerts and a performance from the cast of Off-Broadway's Rooms.

The fourth annual Next Broadway Sensation will be presented Sunday evenings from Sept. 13-Oct. 4 at New World Stages. The talent competition features guest judges from Broadway and presents the winner with his or her own New York solo concert. Previous winners have gone on to land roles in the Broadway revivals of South Pacific and West Side Story. Doors open at 9 PM.

On Oct. 14, Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, of Off-Broadway's Rooms will celebrate the release of the show's original cast recording with an 8:30 PM concert at Sweet Caroline's. Penned by Paul Scott Goodman (Bright Lights Big City) and Miriam Gordon, the Rooms event will also offer recorded highlights from the new CD.

Cabaret performances include In Therapy With Celine, penned by Evan Story and starring Christina Cataldo. According to NYMF, "Join in the hilarity of a 50-minute therapy session of woe and heartache with a sex-starved head case belting hits such as 'All By myself,' 'I Drove All Night,' 'The Power of Love,' 'It’s All Coming Back To Me Now' and many, many more." In Therapy With Celine will be presented Oct. 13 at 8:30 PM at Sweet Caroline's.

Sing, But Don't Tell: An Evening of Carner and Gregor, featuring words by Sam Carner with music by Derek Gregor, will be presented Oct. 18 at 6 PM at Sweet Caroline's. Igor Goldin directs the evening that "combines glorious harmonies and musical comedy with elements of progressive rock to weave together the musical stories of five New Yorkers, as they struggle to break habits, get out of ruts, and shed their urban armor."
