Each team represents a different NT production. This year, His Dark Materials takes on The History Boys. Given that Alan Bennett’s The History Boys is set in a school, there may be extra pressure on that team, which comprises Jamie Parker (team captain, Scripps in the play), Sam Barnett (Posner), James Corden (Timms) and Russell Tovey (Rudge). Taking a break from fighting the forces of evil in His Dark Materials to wage war on fellow thesps are Alistair Petrie (team captain, Lorek Byrnison in the play), Adjoa Andoh (Serafina Pekkala), Elliot Levey (Brother Jasper) and Lesley Manville (Mrs. Coulter). Jenny Éclair is the quiz mistress, with NT boss Nicholas Hytner keeping score.
