Nightcap Riot Blends Mixology, Theatre and Concert | Playbill

News Nightcap Riot Blends Mixology, Theatre and Concert Nightcap Riot, a new mixology, theatre and concert experience, is now playing at Greenpoint's Magic City brewery through Feb. 14. The unique four-part evening begins with a Kombucha brewing lesson followed by a world-premiere play and live music performance.

Nightcap Riot kicks off with Kombucha cocktails, accompanied by a mix of magicians and stand-up comics. The entertainment is followed by a home-brewing and tasting lesson by Richard Awn – the creator of Mombucha Kombucha, the artisanal drink that is brewed inside the venue.

The lesson is followed by a staging of Jim Knable’s Destiny and The Little Man. Knable’s one-act play is an adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's The Man of Destiny; the cast features Ben Williams, Craig Wesley Divino, Ariel Nichole Reid and Ryan Salvato. Bruce Levitt directs.

The evening is capped off by a concert featuring a range of performers and DJ's. The line-up includes JC Brooks and Jeremy Tromburg (of JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound), The K.i.D, Tarana, Douglas and The Goodharts, Twiga, Natti Vogel, The Foxfires, Transmission Party, Tina Fantasy and SisterMonk.

The event is produced by Alex Gruhin. "[It's] an opportunity to meet new, creative friends, play with artists, drink delicious craft artisanal NYC nightcaps and see incredible theater and music," said Gruhin in a press statement.

All tickets are $50 and can be purchased online at NightcapRiot.com. All performances are held at Magick City, located at 37 Box St, Brooklyn.
