Maury Yeston's musical Nine, which opened in the Metropolitan Theatre in Buenos Aires last May 7, will play its last performance Aug. 9. The announcement was made by Producer Gustavo Levit, who decided to shutter the show a month before its scheduled closing in September, arguing that Nine was losing money.

All the members of the cast, lead by Juan Darthes (Kiss of the Spider Woman, the musical) and Luz Kerz (Chicago, Nunsense) said that they were very surprised by this, and they feel very sad about it, because they "fell in love with the play" and even though it was not a financial success, they feel that every night the audience leaves the theatre very moved by the show.
