News NJ's McCarter Theatre to Launch U.S. Tour of Vienna: Lusthaus, Jan. 18, 2003 The U.S. tour of Vienna: Lusthaus (revisited)— a collaborative dance theatre piece conceived and directed by Martha Clarke, which was seen at New York Theatre Workshop last summer—will be launched at the McCarter Theatre of Princeton, NJ.

Performances are Jan. 18 and 19. The show then moves on to the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. The cast includes Erica Berg, Rob Besserer, Elzbieta Czyzewska, Edmund Davys, George de la Pena, Richmond Hoxie, Gabrielle Malone, Paola Styron, Julia Wilkins.

The NYTW staging ended on July 21, 2003. It opened on May 8 and was originally only scheduled for a April 17-June 2 engagement.

Vienna: Lusthaus (revisited) features music by Richard Peaslee and text by Charles L. Mee. The piece delves into the unconscious world of Vienna at the onset of the 20th century.

The play premiered in New York in 1986 at St. Clement's Church, then transferred to the New York Shakespeare Festival and Kennedy Center later that year. This production contains new material that the original collaborators have developed.
