For the same reason tight-rope acts are more exciting when there’s no safety net, theatre gets an extra boost when it's improvisational. That is probably the thinking behind the new production, Psycho/Dramas, at Lower Manhattan's MAP Penthouse Nov. 29-Dec. 16.

In this Chuck Noell conception, a woman hires a psychodrama workshop to help her remember the events that transpired on the night of her husband's murder. Through a series of role-playing exercises, the therapist and company help her regain her strength and life.

The 'tight-rope' artists in this production include Jay Alvarez, Alex Bond, Lawrence C. Daly, Susan Jacks, Nancy Lipner, Dominic Marcus, and Bill Tatum. The show is directed by its conceiver Noell.

To make your reservations for the Psycho/Dramas, at the MAP, located at 42 Ann Street (on the 8th floor), call (212) 479-8595.
