A trip to the Broadway musical Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk was a central plot point in the Nov. 12 all-star episode of the NBC-TV sitcom "Mad About You."
In the episode, the show's 100th, two new characters are introduced, the mother and father of Helen Hunt -- played by TV and Broadway stars Carol Burnett and Carroll O'Connor.
In the show, Hunt takes Burnett to see Noise/Funk, starring Savion Glover. The exterior of Broadway's Ambassador Theatre reportedly is shown; the interior is a set, according to a production spokesperson.
"Mad About You" is shown 8 to 8:30 PM (ET). Check local listings for times elsewhere.
TV seems to be rediscovering Broadway. On a recent episode of another sitcom, Rhea Perlman's "Pearl," Perlman drove the character played by Malcom McDowell to New York to see Rent.
