Yahoo! TV reports that Finneran and Caroline ("Lost and Delirious") Dhavernas will have lead roles in the new pilot from Todd ("Malcolm in the Middle") Holland and Bryan ("Star Trek: Voyager") Fuller. Formerly known as "Maid in the Mist," the show concerns a woman who intervenes in the lives of others based on information gleaned from inanimate figures. Dhavernas will play the lead and Finneran her overachieving sister. Finneran most recently starred in the short-lived CBS sitcom "Bram and Alice," which also featured Traylor Howard, Alfred Molina and Tony winner Roger Bart. That comedy about a novelist and a fan who realize they are father and daughter was canceled after its fourth episode, which drew only 7.3 million viewers. The show bowed on Oct. 4, 2003, with 10.9 million viewers.
Katie Finneran received a Tony Award for her role as the dizzy, contact-lens losing Brooke Ashton in the Broadway revival of Noises Off. Her other theatrical credits feature roles in Cabaret, The Iceman Cometh, Neil Simon's Proposals, The Heiress, In the Summer House, My Favorite Year, Two Shakespearean Actors and On Borrowed Time.
