A Tony Award winner for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Catch Me If You Can, Butz will join Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek in the 13-episode series about a close-knit family whose secrets are revealed when their estranged, eldest son returns home.
Butz will portray the youngest son, who considers himself the unofficial mayor of the family's small hometown.
The Broadway leading man last appeared on the New York stage in Big Fish. His appearances also include Wicked, The Last Five Years, Dead Accounts, Enron, Speed-the-Plow, Is He Dead? and Rent.
