News Norm Lewis to Go it Solo for Actors' Fund of America in May Norm Lewis, who is part of the cast of the new musical Dessa Rose at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, will make his solo New York concert debut this May to benefit the Actors' Fund of America.

On May 9, Just Chillin' . . . an evening with Norm Lewis will be presented at the Public Theater's Joe's Pub. Lewis is expected to lend his rich, velvety tones to a host of Broadway standards and popular songs. Show times are 7 and 9:30 PM. Lewis, who appeared in the benefit Hair concert, has been seen on Broadway in The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon and The Who’s Tommy. His Off-Broadway credits include Captains Courageous and A New Brain, and he has toured with Once on This Island and Four Score & Seven Years Ago. Lewis’ other theatrical credits include the all-star Dreamgirls and Children of Eden concerts, the City Center Encores! production of Golden Boy and regional productions of Ragtime, Pippin and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
