The musical is now in previews toward a June 14 opening. The extension will take the Michael Mayer-directed production to July 15 (rather than July 1) at the Linda Gross Theater, Atlantic's home on West 20th Street.

The road-trip musical features Irene Molloy (Civil War), Tony Award nominee Matthew Morrison (The Light in the Piazza), Skipp Sudduth ("Third Watch," Woody Allen's Writer's Block) and Academy Award nominee and two-time Emmy Award winner Mare Winningham ("Georgia," "Grey's Anatomy").

According to ATC, "10 Million Miles tells the story of Duane (Morrison) and Molly's (Molloy) road trip in an old pick-up truck from the southern tip of Florida to Upstate New York, with many detours along the way. With a book by Keith Bunin and songs by Patty Griffin, the world premiere of this new musical explores the pursuit of love and family, and the geography of the American dream."

Previews began May 11. Tickets are $65 and are available by calling Ticket Central at (212) 279-4200 or by visiting ticketcentral.com.

There will be no performance on Sunday, June 3.

Atlantic Theater Company (Neil Pepe, artistic director; Andrew D. Hamingson, managing director) is producing 10 Million Miles in association with Tom Hulce and Ira Pittelman.
