News Now.Here.This. Benefit Performance Will Support Vineyard Theatre A special performance of Now.Here.This., the new work from the creators and cast of the musical [title of show], will benefit the not-for-profit Vineyard Theatre, which is presenting the work in Developmental Lab Production June 4-19.

The 7 PM performance on June 19, ending the run, will be followed by an afterparty with the artists. The special performance was announced June 2 by Douglas Aibel, artistic director of The Vineyard, where [title of show] had its Off-Broadway debut in 2006 prior to its Broadway engagement in 2008.

Vineyard Theatre is at 108 E. 15th Street.

Tickets for the June 19 benefit performance are $125 and include admission to an afterparty with the artists. Premium tickets are available for $175 and include preferred seating at the performance, admission to the afterparty and a pre-show toast. Also available are a limited number of $1,000 "co-host packages," which include four premium tickets to the pre-show toast, performance and afterparty, as well as a program credit as "event co-chair," and recognition live at the theatre.

Tickets are available to purchase online at www.VineyardTheatre.org; by phone at (212) 353-0303; or at the Vineyard Theatre Box Office.

* The project is written by Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, with songs by composer-lyricist Jeff Bowen, "based on a collaboration by Hunter Bell, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove."

A limited number of tickets to the Lab run are available to the general public. The Vineyard was also the launchpad for Avenue Q and The Scottsboro Boys played prior to Broadway.

Musical direction and arrangements are by [title of show]'s Larry Pressgrove. Michael Berresse directs, as he did [title of show]. Berresse, Bowen and Bell won Village Voice Obie Awards for their work on [title of show].

Now.Here.This. is billed this way: It's "an original 'theatri-concert' that investigates and celebrates living in the present, featuring autobiographical stories, songs and a multi-piece band."

According to the six collaborators, "The piece explores what goes down in the space between the past and the future, and how the universe conspires to bring people together."

The show "also promises to solve the mysteries of JCPenney plain pocket jeans, middle school talent shows and the space time continuum."

Vineyard Theatre Labs are developmental productions which are not open for review, and do not guarantee future full productions of the work.

Performances of Now.Here.This. will play June 4-19, Mondays and Tuesdays at 7 PM, Thursdays and Fridays at 8 PM, Saturdays at 5 PM and 9 PM; and Sundays at 3 PM. On Sunday, June 5 there will be an additional performance at 7 PM.

Vineyard Theatre members can book their tickets now. A limited number of $35 tickets are available to the general public for purchase, as are $60 premium tickets, starting May 23 by calling (212) 353-0303, online at www.VineyardTheatre.org, or by visiting the Vineyard Theatre Box Office.
