Has the success of the musical Titanic made you interested in learning more about this famous disaster? New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art is hosting three lectures, collectively titled "Titanic: The Way it Was," on the ill-fated luxury liner, by marine historian John Maxtone-Graham in October and November. In order, the lectures will be: Oct. 22: "White Paint, Gilt, and Salt Air: Edwardian Shipboard"; Oct. 29: Titanic, "White Star's Flawed Marvel"; and Nov. 5: "Echoes of That April Night."
