The Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard has announced a "Winter Sale" of tickets to the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit, starring Elaine Paige.

Producers of the show have set an across-the-board discount for post-New Year performances: All orchestra and front mezzanine seats are $30; All rear mezzanine seats are $15. (Normal ticket prices run from $70 for orchestra and front mezz, to $25 for rear mezzanine.)

Production spokesman John Barlow said, "At a time when we have inventory, and there are seats available, this is a great way to get people who couldn't afford it before to come see the show. It's a win-win situation."

Reduced-price tickets also were offered in winter January 1996.

Tickets for this "Winter Sale" must be ordered by Nov. 17 for performances between Jan. 6 and March 8, 1997 (not valid Feb. 17-22, a big week for tourists). New York area residents can call (212) 307-4007; audiences outside the NY metro area can dial (800) 307-4007. Elaine Paige will be starring in Sunset Boulevard through March 22, along with co-stars Alan Campbell and Alice Ripley. The show plays at the Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th St.
