Directed by Tony Award-winning producer Sandberg (Hair, The Last Smoker in America, Shida), the readings feature Drama Desk nominee Christina Bianco (Newsical, Forbidden Broadway) in all 40 roles.

Application Pending, according to press notes, "is a one-actor, forty-character play about the hilariously cutthroat kindergarten admissions process at a New York private school. One actress portrays rookie admissions officer Christine and all of the wild personalities that she has to deal with on her first day on the job."

Edwards and Sandberg are the writing team behind the upcoming Off-Broadway play Craving for Travel. Edwards has written lyrics for Neurosis: A New Musical, Taking the Plunge, The Temptation of Lady Amsterdam and Office Space: The Musical. Sandberg directed the world premiere of Shida (Ars Nova), the world premiere of Operation Epsilon and the New York premiere of The Last Smoker in America.
