The Snow White Company/Alison Tassie production of Lionel Kranitz's Bridges begins previews April 5 at the New 42nd Street Theatre. The limited engagement of the show, comprising two one-acts, opens April 7 and runs through April 29.

Kranitz's two plays are Reach Out And Touch Someone, about an elderly woman developing a relationship with an obscene caller, and You And The Night And The Music, about a cross-dressing accountant and his cabbie friend.

Kranitz directs both plays, which are described as "part comedy and part character study."

Bridges comes to New York after premiering in San Francisco last year.

Kranitz was an actor before turning to writing and performed three times on Broadway as Anthony Perkins' understudy in Look Homeward Angel. He also worked on the CBS soap "The Brighter Day" and had two notable appearances on "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." With Bridges, Kranitz will direct cast members Miriam Babin (who originated the role of "Ida" in the San Francisco production), Ross Haines, Joseph Riccobene and Richard Springle.

The creative team currently comprises scenery and lighting designer Peter Lach.

Tickets are $12. The New 42nd Street Theater is located at 348 West 42nd Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Reservations can be made by calling Smarttix at (212) 532-8887.
