News NYC's Secrets of a Soccer Mom Closes May 4 Secrets of a Soccer Mom, the new play by Kathleen Clark directed by two-time Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, plays its final Off-Broadway performance May 4 after 69 regular and 17 preview performances.

The show began previews on Feb. 9 at the Snapple Theater Center, 50th Street at Broadway, and opened March 5.

The production stars Caralyn Kozlowski, Nancy Ringham and Deborah Sonnenberg.

In the play, "three women leave their traditional spot on the sidelines to play in the annual mother-son soccer game. This ordinary day becomes extraordinary as the competition ignites their fierce desire to recapture their spirit, humor and passion."

Secrets of a Soccer Mom debuted as Soccer Moms at Fleetwood Stage (Westchester, NY).

The next directing job for Ivey is the new Broadway-bound musical Vanities. She's starring as Ann Landers in The Lady With All the Answers at Northlight Theatre in Chicago in May and June.
