News NYC's Shortened Attention Span Festival Seeks Horror Submissions for Fall Run Fresh off the heels of its recent summer offering, The Shortened Attention Span Festival now sets its sights on another presentation of one act plays, which are scheduled for Halloween.

Shortened Attention Span Festival producers Carlo Rivieccio and Christy Benanti are currently accepting submissions for the One Act Horror Festival, scheduled to run Oct. 11–28 at The Players Loft in Greenwich Village.

Over three weekends in October, the festival will present 15-20 horror-themed plays, ranging from 5-30 minutes in length. Each week audiences will select a horror favorite, and the three winning plays will be presented on Halloween at The Players Theatre.

Festival guidelines state that "plays must be no more than 30 pages with either a horror or Halloween theme. There is a $10 fee for submission. Authors of plays accepted for presentation during the festival will be notified by Aug. 18th."

All submissions may be sent to The Players Theatre, Attn: Christy Benanti, 115 MacDougal Street, New York, NY 10012.

Tickets for the Shortened Attention Span One Act Horror Festival will go on sale in September through www.theatermania.com.
