Ted Turner, performer and arts advocate Theodore Bikel and Shubert Foundation president Michael I. Sovern will be honored with Town Hall's Friend of the Arts Award Oct. 28 for their work to supports the arts.

The event, part of the annual Town Hall Gala, kicks off at the theatre at 3 PM, at the finale of the weeklong Cabaret Convention. Closing the latter will be a performance of An Irving Berlin Songbook, featuring Mary Cleere Haran, Julie Wilson, KT Sullivan, Eric Comstock, Phillip Officer, Jeff Harnar and others.

Afterward, those attending the gala will head over to the Harvard Club for cocktails, dinner and the award presentation. The award has been presented annually since 1981.

Town Hall is at 123 W. 43rd St., NYC; the Harvard Club at 27 W. 44th. Tickets (including the gala and performance) are $500 per pair. For information, call (212) 997-1003.
