NY Musical Theatre Fest NYMF Tix Available in August for Members; On Sale to General Public Sept 1 Tickets for the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival will be available throughout August exclusively to NYMF members, before they go on sale to the general public Sept. 1.

Presently, there are three levels of NYMF membership which allow one to purchase between two to ten complimentary tickets in exchange for a membership fee. Other perks include invitations to industry events, t-shirts, posters and recognition on the NYMF website. Membership may be purchased at www.nymf.org.

NYMF is a three-week presentation of new musicals. The 2006 Festival is slated for Sept. 10-Oct. 1 at various Off-Broadway theatres throughout Manhattan. The Festival launched shows that have found life beyond the three-week event: Altar Boyz, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Captain Louie. More recently, [title of show] and Shout! had developmental productions under the NYMF umbrella.

The 32 musicals in the 2006 festival include Behind the Limelight, The Children, Gutenberg! The Musical, Having It Almost, J.O.B. The Hip-Hopera, The Man in My Head, Night of the Hunter, The Paisley Sisters’ Christmas Special, Party Come Here, The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun, This Could Be Love, Virgins, What a Glorious Feeling, White Noise, Desperate Measures, Emerald Man, Flight of the Lawnchair Man, Go-Go Beach, Have a Nice Life, Hot and Sweet, Journey to the West, Lunch, Oedipus for Kids!, Piece, The Piper, Prozak and the Platypus, River’s End, The Screams of Kitty Genovese, Smoking Bloomberg, Three Sides, and The Warrior.
