Fans of Audra McDonald will have a prime opportunity to catch her in concert, when the three-time Tony winner plays NY's Town Hall, May 5.

McDonald recently starred in the Broadway musical Ragtime, for which she won her most recent Tony. Her other Tony-winning performances were in the Broadway revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel and in Master Class. Playwright Terrence McNally, who wrote Master Class and the book to Ragtime, penned the liner notes to McDonald's eponymous first album. The Town Hall concert will highlight McDonald's new album, "Way Back to Paradise."

Upcoming theater-related events at Town Hall include:
May 7: "Fresh Faces: Familiar Tunes," in which recent music graduates from NYU and Juilliard sing showtunes from Phantom, La Cage, Tommy and others.

May 9: A performance of Noel Coward's Flower, The Laughing by the Russian Enterprise Theater. May 12: A concert performance of works by Adam Guettel, including selections from Myths & Hymns (formerly titled "Saturn Returns") and a preview of his next musical.

May 14-15: The opera spoofery of La Gran Scena Opera Company>

Various Theaterworks/USA children's shows will also be presented at Town Hall, May 3-18.
