"OBSESSED! Live": Why Ana Gasteyer Became a Musical Theatre Major | Playbill

News "OBSESSED! Live": Why Ana Gasteyer Became a Musical Theatre Major Back in conservatory, Ana Gasteyer had some unusual experiences as a vocal major before moving over to the musical theatre department, especially after a guest lecturer tried to inspire her class with his overtone singing.

In this sneak peek at Seth Rudetsky's premiere episode of "OBSESSED! Live," Gasteyer tells strange tales of her life in higher education, previews a new music video and performs a rollicking standard with Rudetsky on piano.

Produced in partnership with YouTube, "OBSESSED! Live" was recorded before a live studio audience at YouTube Space, NY, a brand new state of the art shooting studio available for use by YouTube content creators.

Guests in the premiere episode are Gasteyer, Megan Hilty ("Smash," Wicked) and Ramin Karimloo (Les Misérables).
