How to Be a New Yorker officially opened Off-Broadway Oct. 17, 2012, following previews that began Aug. 22, 2012.

Obie Award winner Robert Ross Parker directs actor-comedians and licensed NYC tour guides Copeland and Doyle in the comic romp, which includes stories from "the world's largest landfill in Staten Island to the home of the Bronx Bombers" as well as a pre-show lunch or dinner.

The Planet Hollywood edition of How to Be a New Yorker introduces new material, including the debut of its new sketch "Real Housewives of the Upper East Side."

The show, according to press notes, "delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Ms. Copeland and Mr. Doyle as they play over 70 characters. Under the direction of Obie Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this 'Saturday Night Live' style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How to Be a New Yorker."

The creative team includes set designer Nick Francone and costume designer Janell Clingenpeel.

How to Be a New Yorker is produced Off-Broadway by CRC Productions and Marie B Productions.

The performance schedule is Fridays at 7 PM and Saturdays at 1:30 PM and 7 PM. The entrance is located on 45th Street just east of Broadway. Lunch or dinner is served at each performance.
