News Off-Broadway's Lazer Vaudeville Plans Transfer to Lambs Theater June 9 The Off-Broadway show Lazer Vaudeville which performs at the John Houseman Theatre through May 14 will transfer to the Lambs Theater June 9 for an open-ended run.

The work directed by Carter Brown and choreographed by Cindy Marvell began previews Feb. 16 and opened March 9 at the venue, which is set to be razed.

Billed as "Cirque du Soleil meets Laurel and Hardy," "Ringling Brothers meets The Flying Karamazov Brothers" and "Mummenschanz meets MTV," the show features juggling, lasers, magic, classic screwball comedy and technology presented in a modern vaudeville show.

Lazer Vaudeville stars Carter Brown, Cindy Marvell and Nicholas Flair in the show that has toured nationally for nearly 20 years, according to creator Brown. "It's been my dream to bring contemporary vaudeville to the American stage. We are excited to create a brand new show for New York that blends technology and entertainment."

The design team for the New York staging includes Maia Robbins-Zust (set), Cory Simpson (laser) and Jennifer Johanos (costume). Jesse Manno serves as the musical director.
