MCC Theater's Which Way to the Stage has added an additional performance following a string of COVID-related cancellations. Previously scheduled to conclude after the 2 PM matinee performance June 5, the venue has added a 7 PM performance.
The current schedule for the final week consists of May 31 at 7 PM, June 1 at 7 PM, June 2 at 7 PM, June 3 at 8 PM, June 4 at 2 PM and 8 PM, and June 5 at 2 PM and 7 PM.
The show is playing the Newman Mills Theater in The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space. Directed by Mike Donahue, the work follows two Broadway fans waiting outside the If/Then stage door hoping to get an autograph from leading star Idina Menzel. Which Way to the Stage began previews April 14 with opening night May 10. It was originally scheduled to run until May 22. Read reviews here.
The cast features Sas Goldberg (Significant Other), Max Jenkins (Unnatural Acts), Evan Todd (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and Michelle Veintimilla (The Baker and the Beauty).
Which Way to the Stage also has scenic design by Adam Rigg, costume design by Enver Chakartash, lighting design by Mextly Couzin and Jen Schriever, and sound design by Sinan Refik Zafar. The creative team also includes vocal supervisor Liz Caplan, choreographer Paul McGill, and hair, wig, and makeup designer Domino Couture. Alex H. Hajjar is the production stage manager.
