O'Hurley, who succeeds Colman Domingo, is scheduled to play a six-week engagement through Aug. 29.

He joins a cast that includes Ruthie Henshall as Roxie Hart,  Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton and Tom Riis Farrell as Amos Hart.

John O'Hurley, who made his Broadway debut in Chicago, has been seen on screen in "The Mullets," "Buying the Cow," "Teddy Bears' Picnic," "Race to Space," "Firetrap," "Slammed," "Cursed," "Love Stinks," "Three Secrets," "Wild Grizzly," "Tempting Fate," "Blood on Her Hands," "Lost on Earth," "Over the Top," "Murder Live!," "The Secret," "My Son Is Innocent," "The Power Within," "A Whole New Ballgame," "Valley of the Dolls," "General Hospital," "Mirror Images," "Scorch," "Santa Barbara," "The Young and the Restless," "Billy the Kid," "Something Is Out There," "Loving," "The Edge of Night" and "Seinfeld." O'Hurley also played King Arthur in the Las Vegas production of Spamalot.

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

Chicago plays the Ambassador Theatre, located at 219 West 49th Street.
