News Olivier Nominated Hetty Feather to Return to West End as Part of Tour Hetty Feather, nominated for an Olivier Award this year in the Best Entertainment and Family category, is scheduled to return to the West End for a summer season, beginning performances Aug. 6 at the Duke of York's Theatre prior an official opening Aug. 7, for a run of 40 performances through Sept. 6.

The West End run will form part of a major national tour which begins at Bristol Old Vic in July and continues through 2016, with an extended Christmas run at The Lowry, Salford.

Adapted for the stage from Jacqueline Wilson's popular children's novel by Emma Reeves, it is directed by Sally Cookson and will feature Phoebe Thomas reprising her role as Hetty Feather. The Rose Theatre Kingston production is being produced by Kenny Wax Ltd, William Archer for Bob & Co. and Novel Theatre.

In a press statement, Wilson has commented, "I am so thrilled that Hetty Feather has become a stage play! I’ve written exactly one hundred books but Hetty Feather is my number one favourite character and I’m delighted that she will be back on stage again from July onwards. The team behind the production have done a magnificent job bringing the book to life and I’m so pleased that the forthcoming tour will allow even more people to see this wonderful show."

Designs are by Katie Sykes, original music and score by Benji Bower with additional composition by Seamas H Carey and Luke Potter, aerial direction by Gwen Hales, lighting design by Aideen Malone, and sound design by Leigh Davies.
