News Olympia Dukakis, Estelle Parsons and Brenda Currin Are Part of Tonight's Reading at 92Y 92Y presents a reading of the short story "Asphodel," by the Pulitzer-winning author Eudora Welty, March 11. The staged reading features Broadway actors Olympia Dukakis (Rose), Estelle Parsons (Nice Work if You Can Get It) and Brenda Currin (Threepenny Opera).

The presentation is directed by David Kaplan and is in advance of the Eudora Welty Biennale, which kicks off in April in Jackson, MS.

"Asphodel" tells the story of three women visiting a country estate in memory of their eccentric friend who has recently passed away.

Welty's novellas "The Robber Bridgeroom" and "The Ponder Heart" were the inspiration for the Broadway shows of the same name.
