News On the Night of Anthony's 30th Birthday Party, Again Begins NYC Run March 11 L. Pontius' new farce about facing your future, On the Night of Anthony's 30th Birthday Party, Again, gets its world premiere March 11-28 by Whirled Peas Productions at Manhattan Theatre Source.

From the author of the critically acclaimed Umbrella comes a "bittersweet comedy." Megan Demarest directs a cast that includes Andrew Glaszek, Kate Grande, Tyler Hollinger, Stephanie Lovell, Synge Maher, Brandon Potter, Tom E. Russell and Carsey Walker, Jr.

According to production notes, "There comes a moment in your life where you need to make a choice about your future, do you embrace it or stay where you are? In this fast-paced, one door farce, Ben faces a decision of a lifetime on the night of Anthony's 30th birthday party again. He must choose between his fiance and the girl who got away while surrounded by his closest friends. Plans are created, mistakes are made, and everything happens after the cake in this bittersweet comedy."

The creative team features Jason Bolen (set design), Carly Hirschberg (costume design), Drew Vanderburg (lighting design), Ien DeNio (sound design) and Montserrat Alejandro Nieves Mendez de Jesus (co-producer/graphic design). The stage manager is Danielle Newell.

Whirled Peas' production of Thoroughly Stupid Things won the Outstanding Playwright Award at the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival. Whirled Peas is a resident theatre company at Manhattan Theatre Source.
