Star Attractions: As a general rule, there are more stars at Sardi's than anywhere else in town. Over 250 of them are on permanent exhibition on the walls (albeit in caricature form). The "wall of fame" features theatre greats and late greats who have reached that certain status, which Jessica Tandy typified when she signed her caricature, "Now I know that I have arrived." Mr. Sardi's philosophy: "We treat stars like ordinary people and ordinary people like stars." Known as a theatrical message center, lovers' rendezvous, casting and psychiatrist's office, it's easy to forget that Sardi's also serves food. After tasting Sardi's Continental specialties, you will not soon forget. The menu includes cannelloni au gratin, grilled 16 oz. porterhouse steak and mouth-watering desserts like assorted berries in a pastry tulip with raspberry coulis. The prix fixe dinner menu is $39. Star Struck! Going to high school with Brooke Shields, Rosie O'Donnell and Jon Secada could give anyone a complex. Watching them sing, dance, hand-jive and even moon onstage at the Eugene O'Neill theatre is another story: an award-winning story that since opening two years ago has featured a rotating celebrity roster. Now starring in Grease!: "Saturday Night Live's" Joe Piscopo as deejay Vince Fontaine and "The Bold and Beautiful" (believe it) star Jeff Trachta as Danny Zuko. (230 W. 49th St.; 212-239-6200.)
