Technical difficulties plagued the September 6 performance of the critically acclaimed new musical On Your Feet!, which concerns the life and music of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, but that didn't stop the cast from giving their all.

Show spokesperson Whitney Holden Gore told Playbill.com, “The company rallied together when the deck automation console crashed before the show began, and — after a brief meeting to go over staging adjustments and quick changes — went on to perform the show without sets! The console was repaired during intermission, so it will be fully operational for today's matinee.”

Gore added, “Despite the lack of scenery, the audience was incredibly supportive of the cast & crew throughout the performance, and was quick to give them the standing ovation they earned at the end of it all!”

Several cast members also tweeted about the performance, including leading lady Ana Villafañe, who plays Grammy winner Gloria Estefan opposite Ektor Rivera as Emilio Estefan.:

Ensemble member Genny Lis Padilla also posted:

The cast also stars Drama Desk Award winner Andréa Burns (In The Heights) as Gloria’s mother, Gloria Fajardo; Alma Cuervo (Beauty and the Beast) as Gloria’s grandmother, Consuelo; Alexandria Suarez and Fabi Aguirre as Little Gloria; and Eduardo Hernandez and Kevin Tellez as Nayib/Young Emilio.

The musical plays the Marquis Theatre, 46th St. and Broadway.
