The actor has been cast in the recurring role of a rock musician who becomes associated with the character of Fiona, played by Emmy Rossum.

Kazee created the character of lovelorn musician "Guy" in the original Off-Broadway and Broadway productions of Once – a role that garnered him the 2012 Tony Award for Best Actor. He departed the Broadway production in March 2013. 

He has also appeared on television in "Elementary," "Drop Dead Diva" and the ABC pilot "Warriors." His Broadway credits include Spamalot, 110 in the Shade, To Be Or Not To Be and Seascape.
