News One-Acts by Warren Leight Presented Jan. 26 and 27 in Free Series A new monthly reading series entitled “Works in Progress” will kick off Jan. 26 and 27 at the Ionica Theater on West 43rd Street.

Several of Warren Leight’s one-act plays will be read during the evenings, which are being produced in association with the Bova Actors Workshop. Anthony Vincent Bova will direct a cast that includes Earl Baker Jr., Kielsen Baker,Susan Cameron, Carlina Ferrari, Rock Kohli, Dana Kraft and Doron Toister. Show time is 7:30 PM. Warren Leight won the Tony Award for Best Play for Side Man, which was also a 1999 Pulitzer Prize finalist. His other plays include No Foreigners Beyond This Point; Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine; Mayor, The Musical; and The Final Investigation of Ceaucescu's Dog. He is currently co-executive producer of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

The Jan. 26 performance is by-invitation-only. The Jan. 27 performance is free of charge and open to the public.
