News One More Hand: Avenue Q Stars Sing Empty-Handed Again, Aug. 1 Following two previous sold-out performances, Musicals Tonight! presents one more evening of Empty-Handed featuring songs with Avenue Q stars sans their puppet alteregos, Aug. 1.

The newly-added performance will take place Aug. 1 at 8 PM at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Tony Award nominees Stephanie D'Abruzzo and John Tartaglia joined by fellow Avenue Q resident Jen Barnhart will perform songs of Betty Comden and Adolf Green, Jules Styne, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, Tim Rice and Benny Andersson, William Finn and many others.

Empty-Handed is produced by Mel Miller and Musicals Tonight! Alan Muraoka ("Sesame Street") directs the show with musical direction by Gary Adler (Avenue Q), choreography by Jamie Harris and material written by D'Abruzzo and Craig Shemin. Stephen DeAngelis is credited with the original concept.

D'Abruzzo earned a Tony Award nomination for her turns as Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut in the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q. Tartaglia was also nominated for his double duty as Princeton and Rod. Barnhart handles the puppet character Mrs. Thistletwat among others.

Performances of Empty-Handed will play at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street (at Bedford St.). For tickets ($25), call (212) 239-6200.
