Classic Arts News Orchestra of St. Luke's Announces 2006-07 Season Midori, Hilary Hahn, and Garrick Ohlsson are among the soloists for the Orchestra of St. Luke's 2006-07 season, which includes music from Henry Purcell to Arvo P‹rt.
The orchestra's annual Carnegie Hall series will feature principal conductor Donald Runnicles leading Midori in Britten's Violin Concerto; Roger Norrington conducting Brahms' Symphony No. 4; and Hans Graf making his OSL debut with a program of Strauss, Mozart, and Beethoven.

The orchestra will be one of the first ensembles to perform in the Morgan Library and Museum's new Gilder Lehrman Hall in September. Other performances will take place in the Chelsea Art Museum, including a festival of music by women composers curated by Joan Tower.

OSL debuts at the Edinburgh Festival and the London Proms in August, with Donald Runnicles conducting pianist Richard Goode and tenor Ian Bostridge.

The orchestra's annual residency at Caramoor this summer includes performances with violinist Joshua Bell, three Bel Canto at Caramoor presentations, and the world premiere of John Musto's Piano Concerto.
